Nature's Re-Creations is the "Holmes on Homes" of water features and landscaping.  No short cuts - no short changes. Not only are our ponds and falls fabulous but a drainage problem that was affecting our next door neighbor was also corrected.  We know we got a bargain.  BEST working relationship with a contractor - EVER!   We met Chris at the St. Louis Home & Garden Show in February of 2010.  After talking to him we went home and started to visualize (dream) about how we wanted our backyard to look and sound.  We originally had a 12'x20' fiberglass drop in pool that because of substandard installation had warped and cracked.  We had put in a waterfall, stream and holding pond ourselves using stones found on the side of the road and it would no longer hold water.  Originally, we were only going to have Nature's Re-Creations replace the pond and waterfall we built ourselves. We had dreamed of replacing the pool as well but thought it would be too expensive to turn it into a natural swim pond that resembled Chris' style of water gardens.  We wanted our yard to resemble the cliff's and streams you often find while driving through the country or walking in the woods.  After checking out Chris' backyard we knew we had found the right guy.  Our pool to pond project began in October of 2011 and was immediately followed by the fish pond redesign and renovation.   Because of surgery, I was able to observe the work ethic and character of the Re-Create crew.  They were considerate, conscientious, and very hard working.  It was obvious they cared about the project and our family.  They closed up the fence every night so we could let our dogs out in the yard.  They swept and picked up the debris, rock and dirt each night.  They didn't block mailboxes or neighboring driveways even though our lot was on a cul-de-sac.  They even brought our trash cans in when we had to go out of town.   The best part of the project for me was that any design idea I had, while watching the project come together, Chris and his crew already had the same idea as if they were reading my mind and were happy to figure out to make it happen.  If you want to see some video of what went on in our back yard that fall go to You Tube and search MsBear2327 or call us.  Chris has our number and I gave him permission to give it out if anyone would like to talk about the project.  We'd love to tell you how great and unique Nature's Re-Creations is and answer your questions as best we can.  - Lori S. and Gerri R.   Ballwin, MO

I manage a nature facility in Kirkwood, MO.  It is extremely important to us to be good stewards of our natural resources, and to educate others to do the same.  Wise use is a consistent theme throughout the exhibits as well as how individuals can help in their own backyards.    I met Chris when we were looking for options to repair and upgrade the water source in our wildlife viewing area.  We had a small, block style waterfall that was failing and was no longer repairable.  We were adding water daily and decided replacement was the best option.  Chris listened carefully to our ideas and never "told" us what we wanted.  He was honest about what would work and said he could deliver our vision.  After visiting some of his work sites, I was convinced.    A very generous donation made it possible for the nature center to pursue the work.  Nature's Re-Creations was selected for the work through a competitive bid process.  Once the were on site, Chris' crew finished the job in eight days, and the work was impressive.  The feature looks like an Ozark stream that has been flowing there for years.  In addition, Chris created the design to make use of rain water off the roof to feed the feature and allow us to hook up a hose to water the surrounding landscape.  The feature is one of the most popular with the visitors and the animals that visit the feeders as well as a great example of wise use of resources.   I have worked with many contractors over the years.  Chris does business in a way that rivals the rest for courtesy, professionalism and commitment.  He kept his word and kept us informed including checking in daily to make sure we were happy with the work.  When they were finished the crew cleaned up the area and we could hardly tell they had been there.  He made sure we knew how to use and take care of the feature and is always open to give advice should we need it.  We got exactly what we asked for and then some.  Chris even "saved the perfect rock" to add to the feature and it definitely is the focal point.   I don't hesitate to recommend Chris to anyone looking for this type of work.  He thoroughly knows his materials and business, and not only does fantastic work, but with courtesy and respect.  His follow through and follow up is unsurpassed.  Thank you Nature's Re-Creations for giving us the perfect feature!         - Tamie Yegge,  Nature Center Manager,   Missouri Department of Conservation,  Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center,  11715 Cragwold Rd. Cathy and I went on the tour today and saw about 10 ponds. None of them except Xxxxxxx'x was comparable to ours.  Xxxxx's (un-named contractor) had done many of the ponds on tour and none of them were worthwhile.  It looks like he has developed a new style where he pushes up a large pile of dirt, then arranges larger boulders on the hillside. This is what he did at my friend Xxxx and Xxxxx XxXxx's (un-named customer) house.  We saw another one on Xxxxx Bluff that was done exactly the same way.  In the center, he does his traditional stacked rock waterfall.  What is surprising is how proud the homeowners seem to be without realizing how much money they wasted on these features.  We are so happy iwth our pond and landscape.  We are aslo very disappointed that we could not be on the tour this year and showcase what a quality job you deliver.  We had too many family commitments this year to do it, but will commit to being on the tour next year and representing what you can deliver.  It just reinforces that we made the right decision in choosing you to build our pond.  As we heard many times last year when we were on the tour, "we were told we had to come see this one!"   Our best, Dennis and Cathy.

Nature's Re-Creations did such a wonderful job on my waterfall and pond. I have never seen such professionalism, high-quality work. The guys worked fast, were courteous of me and my neighbors, and cleaned up everything before they left. I got more than I expected, and would recommend them to anyone.

Our friends and relatives have raved about our pond. Neighbors admire it. Strangers walking in the neighborhood have come into our back yard and complimented us on Nature's Re-Creation's labors...
- Ralph S.

Chris has great vision... ...One of my neighbors adjacent to me told my wife that they bought their house because of my back yard...
- John V.

The quality and beauty of the waterfall far exceeded my expectations! I have seen pictures of other water feature that looked "less than spectacular"... - Mike R.

Nature's Re-Creation's has created a "paradise" just outside our back door. Chris takes great pride in the work he has done, which is truly a work of art. - Mark & Lynn T.

Pond -O-Rama 2012  -  Thank you once again for taking the time to answer questions, explain your concepts, and display your water garden.   Your pond and  the swimming pool pond that you designed for the two ladies were the BEST of the show.  I hope you will be able to recoup some money from the sewer district.  You should be a model for their brochures on how to be a good steward of our natural resources.  - Sincerely, Beth B.  July 11, 2012

Dear Mr. Siewing,  My husband and I were among the hundreds of awestruck patrons that experienced the 2012 Pond-O-Rama.  We were impressed not only by your plant knowledge and superior design abilities but also with your family friendly approach.  You and your wife were most kind to open you world to the public.
